SUMMARY:Field Readiness: Snake Avoidance Clinic
DESCRIPTION:Snake Avoidance Training\nQHF Ranch Member Event in Collaboration with Florida Palmetto NAVHDA \nIn the field\, a split-second decision can be life-altering. Venomous snake bites involve high veterinary costs and uncertain outcomes; therefore\, QHF Ranch is bringing specialized training directly to the Ranch. On April 11\, 2026\, we will host a professional clinic designed to help dogs develop the instincts necessary to recognize and avoid snakes. \n\n\nWhile no training can offer a 100% guarantee against the unpredictability of nature\, this clinic serves as a proactive step in reducing risk. Furthermore\, it adds a critical layer of field protection for your dog. \nProfessional Field Training\nLed by professional handler and animal trainer David Weathers\, the clinic focuses on situational awareness. In particular\, the training conditions dogs to the specific sight\, scent\, and sound of native snakes. \n\nAuthentic Field Conditioning: We use live\, native snakes across the Ranch’s natural terrain. As a result\, the clinic replicates the true conditions your dog will face in the field.\nTactical Focus: We incorporate gunfire and verbal commands to simulate real hunting scenarios. Specifically\, because a handler’s reaction can accidentally draw a dog toward a snake\, this training conditions them to stay away from the threat.\nHandler Education: Learn to identify the distinct features and natural habitats of local venomous snakes to better protect your dogs in the field.\n\nOpen to All Member Dogs\nSafety is a priority for every dog at QHF Ranch. Even though the clinic is hosted in conjunction with NAVHDA\, it is open to all breeds within the club—including hunting dogs\, working herders\, and loyal home companions. \nA Benefit of Your Membership\nAs a benefit of membership\, we have secured a registration discount for this clinic\, prioritizing field readiness and safety for our members and their dogs. \n\nEvent Details\n\n\nDate: Saturday\, April 11\, 2026 \n\n\nTime: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM \n\n\nLocation: QHF Ranch | 8300 SW Martin Hwy\, Palm City\, FL 34990 \n\n\nTime Slots: NAVHDA will email specific time slot confirmations approximately one week prior to the event. \n\n\nPolicy: Due to the specialized nature of this training\, all registrations are final and non-refundable. \n\n\nClick below to complete registration through Florida Palmetto NAVHDA.\nRegister for Clinic\nQHF Member Discount Applied at Registration
